I was sitting at my desk and it hit me like a ton of bricks - "Dude, go get that bamboo steamer." Ok so after looking around and noticing that there was no one in the room I hit the gas pedal and found it.

Check out this recipe for pot sticks aka steamed dumplings.

INGREDIENTS:

1 lb of ground turkey
1 lb of spicy sausage
1/2 cup of chopped onion
1/2 cup of fresh chopped garlic
1/2 cup of chopped bell pepper
1/2 tablespoon of fresh cilantro
1 tablespoon of soy sauce
1/2 Cup water
1 teaspoon Kosher salt
2 tablespoons of olive oil
1 pack of egg roll wrappers

INSTRUCTIONS:

Mix onion, garlic, bell pepper, cilantro, turkey, sausage, salt, pepper and olive oil in bowl.

Place small about of mixture into middle of egg roll wrapper *not too much*

Brush edges or use your index fingers with water and sat aside.

Fold wrapper upwards to make a triangle or however you desire.

Place 2 - 4 cups of water with lemon slices, rosemary and other spices in larger skillet or pot.

Bring water to a boil and place steamer on top.

Place dumplings in steamer and steam for 15 to 20 minutes.

QUICK DIPPING SAUCE:

I get really uncomfortable when the seasons change because I really enjoy working outside in the elements. I can sweat, jog, breathe hard and simply enjoy the views of the skyscrapers etc. This time change has done a slight number on my workout regimen but hey what can I do.

Im not mother nature so I can't change a season. Im actually working out at the house and even though it's a bit different Im giving it all I got.

Come on brutal winter and get done so I can stay outside until 7:30 p.m.

Being based in the mid south I have everything I need consumer wise. Im talking Macy's, Target, parks, international airports but there is something missing and it just isn't right.

Trader Joe's - these local city leaders need to get with the program because I have to drive at least three hours away to Nashville for those chocolate chip pringle like things, dark chocolate covered almonds and a shit load of other items.

BRUH!!

So many people ask me all the time how am I able to maintain a somewhat healthy eating regimen. First off? Im not the most healthier eater out there BUT I am probably one of the most pickiest.

I prefer fruits and vegetables instead of the canned items. I mean those cans are filled with standing water in them and even though they serve a good purpose there is nothing like a fresh cut apple or some fresh kale sautéed in olive oil and garlic.

GO FRESH!!

Ok so pay attention because this is gonna be quick and to the point. It has been kind of cold these past few days and you know what that means in my household?

You guess it: SOUPS ON!!

Check out this recipe for Sausage and White Bean Soup and please believe it was good. Yeah it was cause it wasn't much left.

My wife had a bowl and instantly went to bed!!!

INGREDIENTS:

2 cans of White Kidney Beans *Any type will do*
1 -2 Boxes of Organic Low Sodium Chicken Broth *You can make your own*
2 -3 Bunches of Kale *Off stem, chopped and washed*
3/4 lb of Kielbasa/Cajun or Turkey Sausage *The Spicer the Better*
Onion
Carrot
Garlic
Loads of Fresh Parmesan cheese *Im talking fresh*

INSTRUCTIONS:

Saute chopped kale *Washed*, sausage, onion, garlic, carrots and anything other items you might like until cooked down. I added red pepper  flakes and cajun seasonings as well.

Add one box of broth and beans and bring to boil. Once at boil, set moderate simmer for 30-45 mins.

Top with shaved Parmesan cheese. Get the good stuff, not that old school on the shelf kind.

Anyone who knows me or my amazing wife know the drill. We may or may not return your phone call because we are always on the run - Bey & Jay aint the only ones -  we are always somewhere do something. We live a pretty cool life and definitely desire to have children but before we take on that lifetime commitment we give it all we have and move around ALOT.
