ACS Cancer Walk - LIFE CHANGING

My mom always shares with my sister and I that we should support cancer research any way that we can but it often falls on deaf ears. It's not that we don't listen but life is fast and there are loads of other responsibilities that we are dedicated too. Yeah I know, we need to listen to mom more.

My amazing mother survived cancer along with receiving a bone marrow transplant years ago which is always the basis of her pressuring us to participate in any way we can. Today I decided to to participate in the America Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk. The experience was life changing as well as breathtaking to see so many people supporting the cause.

From as far as your eyes could see, you could spot women with/without hair who had survived this blight called cancer, men who were walking in support of moms, girlfriends, daughters, friends and beyond.

Even though it was warm out not one person stopped to complain and if you really paid attention? The common denominator, a cure, is what everyone was walking for - almost like a silent agreement amongst each other. We have already decided that no matter what town we live in we are there from here on out that we will be in the thick of things.

Mom was right - As Usual!!!
